The Hon. John G. Koeltl of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York entered an Order appointing KSF as lead counsel for the class in the Eletrobras Securities Litigation, Case No. 15-cv-5754-JGK.

The Honorable George H. King, Chief U.S. District Judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California, denied defendants’ motion to dismiss in In Re CytRx Corporation Securities Litigation, permitting the majority of plaintiffs’ claims to move forward.

The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York appointed KSF as lead counsel in Pearlstein v. Blackberry Ltd., et al., 1:13-CV-07060-TPG, a securities fraud class action brought on behalf of all persons who purchased or otherwise acquired the publicly traded common stock of Blackberry between September 27, 2012 and September 20, 2013.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued a unanimous decision affirming the district court’s decision to grant class certification, which was appealed by defendants after a unanimous decision by the U.S. Supreme Court vacating and remanding a decision of the Fifth Circuit regarding class certification.

The Minnesota Second Judicial District Court granted preliminarily approval to the settlement of Siciliano v. Medtox Scientific, Inc., et al., Court File No. 62-CV-12-4811. A Final Settlement Hearing shall be held by the Court on February 14, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., before the Honorable John H. Guthmann.

The United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas denied in full Defendants’ motion to dismiss claims in Turnbow, et al. v. Life Partners, Inc., et al., No. 3:11-CV-1030-M (N.D. Tex.)

The United States District Court for the District of Kansas denied in full Defendants’ motion to dismiss securities fraud claims in Better v. YRC Worldwide Inc., et al., No. 11-2073- KHV.
