Pearlstein v. Blackberry Ltd., et al., No. 1:13-CV-07060-CM (S.D.N.Y.). On September 29, 2022, after nine years of hard-fought litigation that included Lead Plaintiffs’ successful appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit which revived the case after dismissal, the Hon. Colleen McMahon entered a Final Judgment approving a $165 million settlement of Lead Plaintiffs’ claims. Lead Counsel KSF achieved this excellent result – one of the few nine-figure securities recoveries of 2022 –after completing discovery, certifying the class, defeating Defendants’ motions for summary judgment, and settling on the literal eve of trial.
