KSF Secures Settlement in Principle of Derivative Claims on Behalf of Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc.
On May 19, 2026, the parties to a shareholder derivative action on behalf of Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, Kanner v. Baker, et al., Case No. 23-cv-2293, filed a status report advising the Court that they had substantially completed documenting a settlement of the derivative claims asserted therein and in certain related shareholder demands, including those made by KSF on behalf of Acadia Pharmaceuticals stockholder Thomas Christiansen. KSF, as counsel for stockholder Christiansen, had served a books and records demand on the Company pursuant to 8 Del. C. § 220 in January 2024 and a litigation demand on the Company’s Board of Directors in March 2024 regarding alleged breaches of fiduciary duty by the Company’s current and former directors and officers. The settlement will be presented for approval in the Kanner action, where the plaintiff anticipates filing a motion for approval of the settlement by June 15, 2026.
